Getting the Job

Now that you've got your brand new MLS or are about to finish your degree, it's time for the job search. It may seem daunting, but it's worth the effort and can even be fun. Interviews are a terrific way to meet people in the profession, see how different organizations are run and find out more about where you want to work. Your first job may or may not be your dream job, but it's the first step on an exciting journey. You're sure to find your dream job along the way.

Job Search Steps

  • Identify jobs that you're qualified for and that interest you
  • Research the organizations you're applying to
  • Write a compelling resume and customized cover letter
  • Prepare a list of questions you want to ask at the interview
  • Wow them at the interview
